The Art Director of Special Projects directs the editorial photography for macys.com. The candidate should be an ecommerce veteran, fluent in digital photography & web design. A combination of aesthetic flair and an understanding of business branding needs is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all photography for editorial projects.
- Responsible for creating photography concepts for editorial projects.
- Responsible for editorial photography budget.
- Responsible for management of special projects producer.
- Work within larger brand guidelines, while interpreting for web usage.
- Develop new photography initiatives for the site; generates ideas beyond assigned projects.
- Interpret data and translates business strategy into creative photography strategy.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and the web competitive landscape.
Requirements:
- 10 or more years of retail art directing experience.
- Management skills.
- Presentation skills.
- Digital Photography, Photoshop, knowledge of Video.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all tiers and all disciplines of the organization.
