New York: Rodarte Takes on Cooper-Hewitt

Event Date: 11 - 28, 2010

In 2005, from out of virtually nowhere, the Mulleavy sisters – Kate and Laura – took the fashion world by storm. The sisters’ acclaim and stature has grown among fashion elites for their meticulous knack at pulling haute couture through an American needle. Rodarte’s easily on their way to becoming a household name with their calculated mainstay on the runway with additional exposure to mass audiences, such as Target. Starting today, an installation of the Mulleavy sisters’ work will be on display at the Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum. If you’re in the New York area and wanting a taste of fashion week, come take a glimpse at the inspiration and processes that have helped catapult the Rodarte Label.
