PATTERN PULP

New York: Tondo

Event Date: 27 - 26, 2011

A.A. Rucci has had a two-decade affair with circular paintings and Tondo is the first survey dedicated to these particular works.

Beyond any didactic impulse or consumer imperative, his paintings interpret repetition and surface, mimicking an “open-source choreography” of orientation and motion. They blend various modes of abstraction, figuration, graffiti, and graphic illustration into a whirling cycle of personal narrative. Click here for more info.
