London: If Paintings Could Talk

Event Date: 3 - 19, 2010

Gabriel Dubois’ work is influenced by a spectrum of things: a childhood spent in his father’s painting studio; a teenage fascination with hand-painted signs, skateboarding and graffiti; explorations through Sri Lanka, India and Japan and the study of their visual cultures. All of these influences are evident when it comes to his paintings, as each work is an abstracted multi-layered conversation. For his solo debut show at the StolenSpace Gallery, Gabriel has prepared a new body of work using salvaged wooden panels. Additionally, there will be works on paper and a few limited edition screen prints. For more info, click here.

STOLENSPACE GALLERY: Dray Walk, The Old Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, London E1 6QL
