Boston: NERVOUS with Jesse Louis-Rosenberg

AIGA Boston’s Emerging Ideas welcomes Jesse Louis-Rosenberg, co-founder of Nervous System, an experimental design studio that creates nature-inspired jewelry. Each design parallels one of the complex patterns generated by computation and nature.
The first workshop of the day is entitled, Spring & Things: An Introduction to Computational Design and will be held from 12pm to 4pm at West Newton’s Continuum. Topics covering computation and exploration in art and design in relation to interactive systems will be explored. Prepare to investigate how particle systems actually work and be prepared to create various forms on your own laptops. Participants will use the Processing Environment, a programming platform geared toward visual designers. For more info, click here.

The second lecture, New Technologies & Natural Phenomena, will be given by Rosenberg, the co-founder of Nervous System. The talk will give an in depth look at NERVOUS’s unique creative process from nature, to computation, to design, to product development. After the lecture, the venue will be open late for a Shop ‘n Sip, where you’ll be able to shop the Nervous Systems line while munching on delicious treats. For more info, click here.
