I have a deep admiration for the London-based Patternity team. I may have even been their first paying American customer for their tribal tights three years ago. Since the early days of product design, the team’s come a long way, visualizing a love of pattern and sharing a recognition in the obvious that’s often overlooked.
Their latest endeavor’s a big one, as they’re producing a festival that combines some of the most illuminating minds in Fashion, Art, Design, Science, Technology and the Environment, to explore the shared impact of pattern on culture. There will be industry discussions, hands-on creative workshops, pop up interactive events and an opportunity to view the new Patternity Studio. I wish I was in London to attend.
