PATTERN PULP

Creative Conference West Round Up

Event Date: 5 - 7, 2011

Last weekend I had the pleasure of speaking in San Francisco at the Conference of Creative Entrepreneurs about Pattern Pulp and how I navigate NYC as a Freelance Art Director. In three short days I met amazing artists and likeminded business owners, reconnected with a few former NYC transplants, squeezed in meetings with some very insightful tech folk and even wiggled in a massage at Bliss!

The conference was held at the Women’s Center in the Mission, which is covered entirely in large scale murals- truly a sight to behold. Among the MANY talented artists in attendance, it was a particular pleasure hearing Jeffery Rudell‘s keynote, as it was inspirational, humbling and a joy to absorb. It was also a treat getting to present with Christiana Coop of Ferm Living, I’m pretty excited about our future pattern collaboration! Illustrators Jamie Zollars and Lisa Congdon were as delightful in person as they are online and getting snapped by Kat Seward of The Styley was pretty fun. Additionally, meeting Lisa Anne LoganLandis CareyErin Loechner, and Kelly Wilkinson was just as wonderful as reconnecting with my old Alt friends.

Here are a few photos from my trip- enjoy!
