PATTERN PULP

Meet the Newest Member of the Team

December 21st, 2009

The holidays are in full swing and the timing couldn’t be better to introduce the newest addition to the Pattern Pulp team! Aysha Ibtasam is originally from Pakistan and now resides in Brooklyn where she flexes her Fashion Design, Merchandising and Management muscles in Midtown, Manhattan at Li and Fung.  Aside from hunting for trends and designing children’s apparel, Ibtasam also writes a weekly fashion column for Pakistan Post, a South Asian newspaper. She also contributes to Despardes and Pkonweb, both online publications. Her first PP piece focuses on Naeem Khan, the supremely talented Indian fashion designer who infamously dressed Michelle Obama for the State Dinner over Thanksgiving weekend. Follow along as Ibtasam explores the intricate bead work Khan has become famous for and tells us which embellishments to look out for in 2010!
